A rising force in feature films, television, video games and motion picture advertising, Kaveh and Michael have quickly become a first choice to create cutting edge and memorable scores across all genres.
The duo wrote a rousing theme for the History channel’s highest rated special aired to date, the epic 12 part series “America: The Story of Us” narrated by Liev Schreiber. They also recently wrote the theme for “The Last Huntsman” for the Discovery Channel, produced by Skip Films. They co-scored Marvel’s hit animated series “Wolverine and the X-Men” and have composed scores for dozens of Emmy nominated and award winning shows and mini series such as Jean-Michel Cousteau’s “Ocean Adventures,” “The Crash of Flight 191,” “Biography: John Travolta,” “Red Flag,” “Above and Beyond,” “Probable Cause,” “The Science of Star Wars,” “The Chronicle” and many others. Not stopping there, Kaveh and Michael have scored numerous commercials for clients including Sony, SEGA, NBC, AT&T, Mattel and Six Flags.
Now in demand in the ever growing world of video games, Kaveh and Michael very recently completed the score for one of the most successful motorsport franchises in the world, Microsoft’s “Forza Motorsport 6.” Recorded with a 90 piece orchestra and incorporating cutting edge electronic programming, the score is a two hour adrenaline filled journey through the exciting world of motorsport. They also completed the score for Ubisoft’s highly anticipated new installment in their AAA franchise, Tom Clancy’s “Splinter Cell Blacklist.” This was following up on the heels of “Splinter Cell Conviction” which was one of the highest grossing games of 2010 and featured over two hours of Kaveh and Michael’s cinematic score recorded on the legendary Warner Bros. Eastwood Scoring Stage. They have provided scores for the tie-in to Warner Bros.’ “Green Lantern” movie, “Green Lantern: Rise of the Manhunters” for Warner Bros. Interactive and Activision’s “Battleship” game based on Universal’s summer blockbuster film. They have also worked with Riot Games to provide scores for their wildly popular “League of Legends Udyr” and for “Road to the Cup” a custom piece written for the “League of Legends World Championships” – a sold out event held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, streamed to over 32 million people and with over 5.5 million views to date on YouTube.
With literally hundreds of motion picture advertising campaigns for Hollywood’s biggest blockbuster films to their credit, Kaveh and Michael continue to thrill audiences worldwide on both the large and small screen with their unique and powerful scores. Recent credits include “The Martian,” “Black Mass,” “Jurassic World,” “San Andreas,” “Mad Max Fury Road,” “Ant Man,” “Fantastic Four,” “Avengers: Age of Ultron,” “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay,” “The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies,” “Guardians of the Galaxy,” “Chappie,” “Transformers: Age of Extinction,” “American Sniper,” “John Wick,” “Edge of Tomorrow,” “Godzilla” and countless others.
Recent feature film scores include “Crawlspace” for writer/director Josh Stolberg (Sorority Row, Piranha 3D, The Last Airbender) and the award winning film “Generation P,” a critically acclaimed feature adaptation of Viktor Pelevin’s iconic book, directed by celebrated director Victor Ginsburg. Their haunting score for Lionsgate’s cult classic H.P. Lovecraft’s “Beyond The Wall of Sleep” was met with critical acclaim.
Kaveh and Michael’s theme for “Splinter Cell Conviction” was recorded by The London Philharmonic Orchestra for their best selling album “The Greatest Video Game Music” which reached number 23 on the Billboard charts. Famed violinist Angèle Dubeau also recorded a new arrangement of the theme with her string ensemble La Pietà for her album “Game Music.” Very recently, their theme for Forza Motorsport 6 received it’s world premiere on the concert stage by the Hradec Kralové Philharmonic as part of a video game music concert.
Passionate about all avenues of music, Kaveh and Michael also composed the score for an Audies Audiobook of the Year winner, “The Bible Experience.” A complete and fully dramatized recording featuring an all star cast of almost 400 performers including 3 Academy Award winners, 5 Golden Globe winners, 8 Emmy winners and 23 Grammy winners. Highlights include Denzel Washington, Forest Whitaker, Samuel Jackson, Angela Bassett, Blair Underwood, Cuba Gooding Jr., Robert Guillaume, Eartha Kitt and LL Cool J. Their beautiful and dramatic score was recorded in Prague. Kaveh and Michael’s music has also been used by one of England’s most successful Premiere League soccer teams, Arsenal FC as their stadium entry music.
Kaveh and Michael have also produced music for a diverse array of artists including James Brown, The Pussycat Dolls, Selena Gomez, Kenny Loggins, Barry Manilow, The Baha Men and Lenny Kravitz. Most recently, they produced blues/rock artist Philip Sayce’s “Peace Machine”, which debut to critical acclaim and was a best seller in the blues charts. They received an RIAA Gold Record for Disneymania which remained on the Top 20 over a year after it’s release. They also contributed to Disneymania 2 which remained in the Top 5 on Billboard’s Children’s Chart for over 23 consecutive weeks, entering at #1 the week it was released. The song “Tell Me Something I Don’t Know” performed by Selena Gomez has sold over 1 million copies, reached #3 on Radio Disney and debuted at #7 on Billboard. They have written and produced songs and score for films such as Another Cinderella Story, American Pie III, Scooby Doo, Blue Crush.
